Why You Shouldn't Poll For NZ First In 2023
Imagine Parliament is a Neoliberal car driving us toward hell through uninformed consent. NZ First is the equivalent of a "Conservative" handbrake that only works for Winston and his friends.
New Zealand First is the preferred party for those I know to be well-informed in the law and the evidenced-based reasons for this current societal collapse. Yet, that’s no great surprise. The Masculine/Conservative built the written law through their dedication to the details. The Neo-types subvert those qualities and have turned law into the current fraudulent structures we have today. The Masculine/Conservative tends to be right about many things, but our collective fear of shame, offence, and addiction to short-term gratification compels us to ignore them, and consent to a slow blind march to insanity. What should be the compelling and consistent voice that prevents us from walking off the cliff to oblivion? Masculine/Conservative voices like Winston Peters.
Before you read this article, it is important that you read these four articles:
Why You Shouldn’t Poll For … In 2023
The Case For The Reinstatement Of The Refinery
Neomasculine and Neofeminine
Consistency
The reason why the above articles need to be considered prior to this article is because this article is about the precise failures of this party, not its successes. You may not like that, and if that’s the case you may be a blind optimist, which is inherently Neoliberal/Neofeminine. That state of mind is the type that tends to only realize they’re on the road to oblivion, when the leader of their unthinking mob gets to the edge of the cliff. It is the mindset that declares; “that all my ideas are good ideas because I declare them to be!” Which is understandable, this country has spent decades being influenced into an over-mothered state-of-mind. What those types need is a Masculine voice that can get the consumer mob and their corporate piper, to check their direction with narratives that get them to stop and think. For that to have a chance of happening, that Masculine voice would have to be adept at evolving himself and those around him.
That hasn’t happened in this party, if it had, all the Conservatives and Centrists would support them.
New Zealand First needed to evolve its party into a Centrist Party. A Party that contains free men and women, who speak narratives and policies that encourage people to diligently pursue the narrow path of truth. What we have right now, is a party that proclaims to be centrist economically, and Conservative socially. According to its own members, New Zealand First is Winston Peters and Winston Peters is New Zealand First, which isn’t good for its long-term goals. Psychologically, Winston Peters is a softened Neomasculine archetype, someone who has built a lucrative political model that periodically benefits from Neofeminine insanity. To make things worse, the obvious replacement for the 78-year-old Winston is someone who thinks righteous anger and the tough gavel of punishment is the Neomasculine solution to the Neofeminine problem. This party let the wolf in sheep’s clothing in, stood back, and allowed her to wreak havoc through bad firearm reform. Then they waited for political amnesia to set in, so Winston’s witty narratives could accuse the sheep wolf of all the damage.
But, who let in the wolf in sheep’s clothing?
Prior to 1984, Winston Peters’ mentor Robert Muldoon ignored Classical Liberals from the rising Social Credit Party, got this Nation into massive foreign debt, did dumb ass actions to “mitigate” the economic fallout, ignored the Reserve Bank’s advice, created an impending economic catastrophe, got drunk, announced a snap election, and then gave the reigns to the Neoliberal Revolution. Long time ago you say? Sure, but that’s what exasperated the sale of this country to greedy enlightened absolutists. Furthermore, it’s become a predictable numerical pattern of uncontested Neoliberal and Neoconservative greed. Robert Muldoon; a “Masculine/Conservative” leader, ignored our best creative minds, and mocked their policy while he borrowed international “funny money”. The fall of the Masculine/Conservative allowed for the reigns of this country to be snatched up by a childish “do as thou wilt” philosophy. Every now and then, the corruption and chaos of this long march to oblivion is on full display.
That’s where Robert’s apprentice; Winston Peters comes in, to make sure this flawed chaos to order model continues without too much pushback.
You can’t have all the Conservatives rallying behind consistent men and women who are determined to address the root of the problem directly. You can’t have the secrets of their foundationally weak legal and legislative system being taught to all those who are seeking a solution to the long march to dystopia. So, you must create several hopium baskets for all the Conservatives to be divided amongst. In my opinion, one of those hopium baskets is New Zealand First.
The first issue I will address is the nature of Winston Peters’ “promises”. What you need to hear from Winston/New Zealand First, is a full commitment to the reinstatement of Marsden Point’s refining capabilities. The statement, we will rebuild Marsden Point doth butter no parsnips. We already know that there is a plan to expand the port of Northland, and we already know that Channel Infrastructure’s solar panel plans are leaking out of their tanks into the harbour. We want to know whether NZ First will commit to restoring our refining and waste conversion capabilities at the start of the pipeline to Wiri? That is crucial, because imported fuel needs to be re-refined sometimes, and imported bitumen and imported CO2 is an unmitigated disaster!
What I am getting at here is Winston’s well-crafted ability to lie by omission. It’s a well-known psychological trait of a Neomasculine archetype. They are masters of keeping the truth hidden through omission, while his opposite polarity; the Neofeminine is a master at lying by commission. It’s about what Winston doesn’t say, and if he hasn’t committed to reinstating Marsden Point’s refining capabilities vocally, and in writing to his constituents, don’t assume he will reinstate it. Remember, to ass u me makes an ass out of you and me, and this party has been masterful at taking advantage of that for decades. The past shows us that he is the best at flip-flopping while playing the victim and the victor at the same time.
What baffles a freshly converted Conservative like myself; is the lack of recall from voters who stop supporting NZ First, because of their failure to consistently uphold the values of their constituents. Then, they go running back when Neoliberal chaos from National or Labour rears its head again. I’m willing to accept the claim that there is no one else competent, but I’m not willing to accept the claim that going back to the Neoliberal Kingmaker is going to change our catastrophic direction. There’s no denying that this corporate politics game is exceedingly difficult, the problem for me is the lack of evolution from this party and its lack of consistency. The latter is meant to be a hallmark of traditional Conservatism, the former requires one to be in touch with the consistencies of Libertarianism. Of which, Winston is not.
This party helped to throw economic sovereignty under the bus for its own self-preservation. They may make an argument around maintaining strong economic relationships with pacific rim countries in the face of a growing CCP empire, but that doesn’t remedy the concerns of Law Professor Jane Kelsey, and the values of Nationalism for that matter. In a completely foolish strategic blunder, this party threw licensed law-abiding gun owners under the bus too. Seven percent of their votes went to the Neoliberal Grapefruit party. ACT; a “Libertarian” basket for people who don’t know what a modern sophist is. Yet all is forgiven, why? Did NZ First offer well-thought-out accountability for their lack of consistency? No, they just jumped on the defence of womanhood bandwagon, and timed it with the torching of Democracy NZ. A puppet party for National and the hope of good Constables who want the honour of their office restored through politics. Which, sadly, is a pipe dream.
Time and struggle have convinced seasoned veterans of the political and corporate world; that sacrificing the truth in the short term to hypothetically benefit the truth in the long term, is the recipe for success. What do they mean by success? Accumulation of money and popularity. But is that success to a constituency that is supposed to value a deeper meaning to life? You can make any argument you like about the validity of New Zealand First’s policies and strategic methodology, but it will still fall apart when it is weighed up against the consistent fabric of reality. Its leader and party have been consistently inconsistent with the truth, and yet, they criticize others who are inconsistent with the truth in order to gain notoriety.
I would have been a NZ First supporter, I would have worked for them, but I can’t. Fortunately, several men and women showed me what consistent pursuit of consistency looks like, and once you’ve seen the light, you can’t fake personal growth, you just can’t. Thanks to men like Jordan Peterson and Mark Passio, people are starting to see politicians for what they are; used Neoliberal car salesman. Had this party used its platform to market the pursuit of the truth, and the revealing of the broken foundations of our Unconstitutional Corporate State and fraudulent legal structures, I would have been all in. But it’s not doing that, it’s doing what Winston has always done, not let a political opportunity go to waste. Which is a well-known Roger Douglas quote, oh the irony…
Many of you who support this party wonder, why don’t all the Freedom parties and Conservative parties just come under NZ First? Wrong question. What is it about NZ First that has made all the Freedom and Conservative constituents create new parties that divide the vote? Ego or lack of trust? Could be both, after all, egos don’t trust other egos. My answer? You can’t be the equal and opposite reaction to systemic lies, if you sacrifice the truth in the short term, to hypothetically benefit it in the long term. If you do that, you are just more of the same, and all of you who support that as a solution, deserve the hell that’s coming to you. Here is my warning to all those who call the armed forces your home, if you are led by inconsistent men at times of war, you will be led to oblivion. Remember that, when choosing wartime leader, because war is coming.
Ngā Ave mihi nui!
I have the same reservations. Twice bitten = 3 times shy would sum up my voting history with Winston. I met him around 2017 and he appeared dumbfounded when presented with some glaring socio-economic regional stats. Also tepid to the notion that Northland could produce it's own food.
Could you consider / reviewing still emerging NZ Loyal party ?
Never have trusted Winnie.
Now I don’t trust any. Have been blue & green. Never again.
But curious also about NZ Loyal.
Otherwise I’m off the ERole
